Cancellation and Refunds

At The Wandering Fever, we understand that plans can change. Our cancellation and refund policy is designed to be fair, transparent, and aligned with industry practices for road trips and adventure travel across India.

This policy applies to all trip bookings made through www.thewanderingfever.com, whether for bike rides, tempo traveler trips, or custom itineraries.


1 Cancellation by the Customer

    If you decide to cancel your trip, the following refund rules will apply:

    For Fixed Departure Group Tours:

    • 30 days or more before departure:
      80% of the booking amount will be refunded
    • 15 to 29 days before departure:
      50% of the booking amount will be refunded
    • Less than 15 days before departure:
      No refund will be provided

    For Customized Private Trips:

    Cancellation charges will vary based on itinerary, hotel/vehicle bookings, and third-party vendor terms.

    A base cancellation fee of ₹1,000 per person may apply.


    2 Cancellation by The Wandering Fever

      We reserve the right to cancel or postpone a trip in case of:

      • Natural calamities (landslides, floods, etc.)
      • Government restrictions or permit issues
      • Low participation (in case of group tours)
      • Any unforeseen emergency or safety concern
      • In such cases, customers can choose:
      • Full refund
      • Transfer of the amount to another upcoming trip (credit note valid for 12 months)

      3 Refund Timelines

        Refunds will be processed within 7–10 working days to the original payment method.

        No cash refunds will be issued.

        For payments via UPI or bank transfer, refund details must be shared correctly and timely.


        4 No-Show & Late Arrivals

          If a participant fails to join the trip on the departure date or misses transport, it will be treated as a no-show and no refund will be issued.

          Delays due to personal issues, missed trains/flights, or lack of valid documents (e.g., ID, license) will not be eligible for a refund.


          5 Changes in Dates or Transfers

            One-time rescheduling or transfer to another person is allowed up to 15 days before departure, subject to availability and approval.

            Date change requests after that will be treated as cancellations.


            6 How to Request a Cancellation

              To cancel your booking, send an email to:

              • Your name
              • Trip name/date
              • Payment receipt
              • Reason for cancellation (optional)

              7 Special Cases (COVID-19 or Medical Emergencies)

                In case of government-imposed travel restrictions or genuine medical emergencies (proof required), we may offer:

                • Partial refund
                • Credit note for future use
                • Free rescheduling (subject to approval)
